Sheryl
Scarborough has an impressive resume of writing
credits and awards in animation, live action, comic books,
non-fiction and children's books. These credits include 13
animated, direct-to-video specials, including an astonishing
nine Christmas Specials. Notable titles as: "Annabelle's
Wish", winner of the Critic's Choice Award
(1998); and "The Littlest Angel", finalist in the
World Animation Festival in Pasadena 1998; and the recently-released
Princess Christmas from Porchlight Entertainment.
Sheryl
has been the Story Editor or writer of over 200 episodes of
animated television. Most recently: "Clifford
the Big Red Dog" for Scholastic and "Kim
Possible" for Disney Television. Also in the
mix were episodes of "Bedtime
Stories with Shelley Duvall" for Showtime,
which won a Cable Ace Award in 1994 for best series programming
age 6 and under and "The Little People" for Fisher
Price and Marvel Productions.
In
print, Sheryl has five non-fiction books to her credits. Her
early reader book "About Bugs" was selected among
The Most Outstanding Children's Books of 1998. She has also
completed over 40 comic book stories for Marvel, Acclaim and
DC Comics, based on properties owned by Disney, Fox, Cartoon
Network and others. Her most recent publications include:
"Freaky Friday", "Powerpuff Girls", "Proud
Family", "Lion King" and "101 Dalmatians".
Ms.
Scarborough is a member of WGA and the Society of Childrens
Book Writers and Illustrators. Currently she has turned her
attention to family-oriented films, based-on-true-events TV
and a high school procedural series.
