Rosemary lives in Texas. Her education is eclectic with studies in music, theater, psychology, and military history. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in speech communication and from the University of Texas at Dallas with a masters of science in communication disorders.
Prior to becoming a full time writer, Rosemary worked as the Youth Director at Theatre Victoria, in Victoria, Texas. Besides teaching and directing young actors from pre-school to high school age, she wrote one-act plays for family audiences, developing an ear for youthful dialogue and humor that appeals to both youth and adult audiences. She has taught playwriting to teens and young adults, and she has spoken across the country about writing, books, and finding your path to success.
Her first novel, Prom Dates from Hell, kicks off a series about a smart, sarcastic girl detective who has to fight the forces of darkness. The book has been called “wicked fun” (Fresh Fiction.com), and the writing smart, sarcastic and “dripping with wit on every page.” (School Library Journal) The series--Maggie Quinn: Girl versus Evil--continues in 2008 with Hell Week and in 2009 with Highway to Hell.
